Composer Highlight: J.D. Frizzell

J.D. Frizzell (b. 1983), Baritone and Composer, is currently pursuing a double Master’s in Music Theory and Conducting from the University of Southern Mississippi where he received a bachelor’s degree in Music History and Literature with instrumental emphasis in voice and piano. J.D writes music for choir, orchestra, symphonic band, voice, handbells, and solo instruments. Also an accomplished musical leader, J.D. is in demand as a clinician and conductor in both handbell and choral music. His handbell music is currently available through Red River Music and ring-Press. Other accomplishments include winning the Theodore Presser Scholarship, being a finalist in the regional NATS singing competition, and conducting/founding professional choir Voices of Tomorrow.
